Drama Activities

Our very first week for the drama club and we had a good number of students.

We had some fun activities ready for them and on the whole they enjoyed it.

Activity 1: 

Introducing ourselves

We sat in a circle and had to introduce ourselves by stepping into the circle and doing an action that resembles our character.  (Although some were a bit shy at first, they soon opened up.)

Activity 2:

Staring (Part 1)

Students had to stare at each other without losing eye contact.

Staring (Part 2)

2 students, both at either side of the classroom had to keep eye contact with each other and take a step forward each time we clapped.

Activity 3:

Trust fall
2 students-1 standig in front of the other.
The student at the front had to keep his/her feet together and fall backwards without breaking his/her own fall.
The student at the back had the big resonsibility of catching them.

(A few students were frightened to fall back onto a stranger but we all successfully did it in the end.)

Activity 4:

Chinese Whispers

3 lines-whispering-ears and a board pen.

Each student at the end of the line was whispered a sentence and they had to whisper the same sentence in each other's left ear until the sentence managed it's way to the front of the line.

The student at the front had to grab the ONLY board pen and write the sentence on the board.
